Merv Hughes goes in to bat for men’s health again

Merv Hughes has long been a strong advocate for men’s health—and he’s prepared to camp in the jungle and eat bugs to prove it!

The retired Test cricketer and former Andrology Australia Ambassador is currently appearing in the reality TV show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!—and has pledged to donate any winnings to Andrology Australia. The show is set in the jungle in South Africa, where the cast of celebrities faces a series of challenges designed to test “their wits, strength and willpower”.

Merv Hughes-I'm a Celebrity

Merv has kindly offered any prize money from the show as a donation to Andrology Australia. We are delighted to have been nominated as Merv’s beneficiary charity. We thank him for this generous gesture and wish him well in the competition.

Merv has already shown the strength of his willpower in a recent episode in which he sat down with fellow celebrity Maureen McCormick (a.k.a. Marcia Brady) to a “meal” of worms, bugs, and other revolting animal parts.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is screening on Network Ten five nights a week.

Donations to Andrology Australia can be made online or download a printable donation form.
